This a fabulous scarf and I wear it thinking of the people who made it as I have images in my head thanks to the lovely videos and pictures provided. It makes me happy to wear a sustainable fabric made with natural dyes in the traditional way and to support a beautiful small business.

Our indigo handwoven cotton scarf is something a little bit special! Made by artisans in Bagru, just outside Jaipur, they are hand dyed, hand block printed, and made from hand woven pure cotton.

Ethically made, they represent everything we love about sustainable slow fashion. They are big enough to be worn as a neck scarf, a shawl, or even a beach sarong. Just in time for summer, and the perfect gift!

Each artisan workshop has an Indigo well, that can measure up to 12 feet in depth, into which the fabric is immersed. The fabric is then dried naturally in the centre of the village, under the Rajastani sunshine. This artisan craft has been handed down through the generations, and it is a skill that we are proud to support.
